First Trip this year!

We celebrated Sam’s 1st birthday in McDonald’s. This cute little girl is my friend’s niece. She’s really cute and so pretty, right?

Isn't she lovely? :)

Right after that, we just decided to go on a road trip to Tagaytay!

We went straight home after the celebration. I brought some clothes and jacket with me. Then, while we were on our way to Tagaytay, they’ve decided to stay there until tomorrow! Lots of surprises, huh?

We arrived in Tagaytay in the evening. It was reaaaaallyyy cold. January hasn’t been this cold! We were trying our best (wearing our shorts and skirts) to walk against the strong winds.ย The coldest temperature recorded in Manila was I think about 15-16 degree Celcius! I felt like I was in Korea again, that Autumn feels.

We had our dinner at RSM Lutong Bahay, a restaurant with an overlooking view of Taal Volcano. ย Everywhere you look, the restaurant is nicely decorated. ย The combination of the plants and the wood furniture of the lounge, sofa, dining table and chairs gives a natural ambiance. It is very s pacious and can accommodate around 150 people. It has second floor but we weren’t able to explore it.

RSM serves delicious and affordable Filipino cuisine. One order ranges about 200-400 pesos and can serve for 3-4 people. ย We ordered just enough for the six of us and our bill reached at least 1k. ย Plus, they gave us free Bulalo soup! Since we ate here for dinner, we can’t really see the taal volcano. So, if you want to appreciate the view, I suggest that you visit during lunch time.

We ate inside the bahay kubo.

After having our tummies full, we proceeded to our next stop -Ate Julie’s house. We stayed there for the night, had some drinks and continued with our non-stop stories.

Get to bond with our new friends while enjoying our drinks and the cold weather!

Starting to fall….

It rained today in Seoul, the last rain of the summer season and it’s now officially fall.:) It’s getting colder by day and night. The leaves are starting to turn into yellow. ๐Ÿ™‚

This is the road I always pass by going to my class ๐Ÿ™‚ So, along the university there are many (์€ํ–‰๋‚˜๋ฌด) eunhaeng namu :)) ๋‚ ๋งˆ๋‹ค ๊ฑธ์–ด์„œ ๊ต์‹ค์— ๊ฐ€์š”. ๊ธฐ๋ถ„์ด ์ข‹์•„์š” ^^

The four seasons are vivid. You know when it’s spring, summer, fall, or winter. And the rain is like the signal that another season will begin ๐Ÿ™‚ That’s the magic of nature.:)

Blue sky in my eyes :)

I usually start the day in front of my laptop computer not noticing that it’s already late in the evening because of watching korean dramas and PLL. But since classes were finished and summer is already up, I went to my favorite spot in the dormitory, the 4th floor wooden deck, for a change.:) Since I was, I believed, busy with studying (putting a wink face here ๐Ÿ˜‰ ), I didn’t have the chance to actually stay there for a long time or at least stay as much as I want.

It’s a beautiful evening to just stare at the sky and be mesmerized at how the sky is so blue. This picture is not edited. It captured how I actually saw it. ย It’s surreal, almost like a painting. I would spend my time looking up the sky until it turns grey as it slowly darkened in color and the stars will shine upon me.

Back in the Philippines, I didn’t much have this time to just appreciate the beauty of nature. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m the type of person who’s active in participating in many activities so I usually go home late.

I wake up very early and arrive at school in the morning (cause I don’t like being late), then after school or in between, sometimes, we have activities in the organizations I’m member with, then I have training at 5-9pm. So, I will be home ย before 10pm, eat dinner, study for a while then sleep. I sleep at 10pm if I don’t have anything to watch on tv. That’s how busy my lifestyle is.

But here in Korea, I don’t get to do much. My lifestyle is veryย laid-backย here. I get to read books as much as I want. I’ve read HP books for the 2nd time. I’ve read books I haven’t read in the Philippines. I can write and update my blogs once in a while. I get to do a lot of things that sometimes I don’t know what to do next or which one to do, so I’ve also watched all kinds of dramas and movies to kill time. Above all, I can sleep early like from 8 -10 pm or sleep very late. Haha! But still I prefer to sleep at 10pm.;))

So, this is the view from my room.:) ย I can see everything up here.:) It’s pretty good, isn’t it?

Supermoon :)

Quite have the advantage of living in 16th floor.:) I was able to take some pictures of theย super moonย though they were kind of blurry. These are the best shots I’ve got. ๐Ÿ™‚

ImageThis is the closest one I can get.:)

ImageThis is the kind of view I see through the windows of our room.:) ย Such a beautiful city, isn’t it? ๐Ÿ™‚

Tambayan (Koren version)

Just because we were so bored and we don’t have anything to do. We went to the road where we always pass by when we do our grocery at lotte mart. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a peaceful place where one can rest and relax their minds. It’s a comforting place to be.:) When I was there, I was thinking of the past, what could have been this place like 300 years ago.:P Korea has really preserved their culture and traditions because of this heritage spots.

The red sun ๐Ÿ™‚

Just like in history books. The sun represents their King.. the blessings from Heaven.:)

This picture would be perfect if I was wearing a Hanbok. ๐Ÿ˜›

ย eating my milk ice cream.:P

Playing around.:D :)))

I’m not sure about the meaning of this but it talks about the Jeolla province and its cities.:)

They even have this cute sink made of stone.:)

In a small city like Jeonju, it unfolds the wonders of nature, the historical past and the rich culture of Korea. There are still so many beautiful places to see. Two awesome months has already passed. A lot of beautiful memories were made. I met a lot of friends, each with unique personality.

There’s nothing more I can say but to be thankful for everything. ๐Ÿ˜€

Cherry Trees in Jeonju Zoo (์ „์ฃผ ๋™๋ฌผ์›) <3

Yesterday, Song-wook invited us to go to Jeonju Zoo. He is our classmate in Culture and Tourism class. ย Song-wook, with his friend Youngmoon, Winnie and I went to eat abundant serving of chicken at a restaurant nearby Chonbuk National University. No doubt, the food was delicious (simply because it’s a chicken!) HAHA! It was a chicken with different sauces. One was original, sweet, spicy then another with garlic.

Because it was a Wednesday when we went out together, they were wearing suits that day. In Hotel Management Department here in Jeonju University, students have to wear suits during their major classes. But, we were exempted from wearing the suits or we have a choice whether to wear suits or not in class because we were exchange students. However, i like wearing the suit. My classmates really look good in their suits (no matter how much they complain being uncomfortable wearing it) Plus, they look so fashionable. If only I have a good pair, I would also wear it in class.:P

Song-wook and Youngmoon

Winnie and I and the delicous chickens.:P

So we drove our way to the Jeonju Zoo. It was very near the restaurant we went to earlier. Along the way, there were many beautiful cherry trees. HAHA. ๐Ÿ™‚

The entrance to Jeonju Zoo ๐Ÿ˜‰

We arrived there about 5:30 pm. There were a few people waiting in line. Song-wook bought the tickets for us.:) I’m really thankful to have such good friends like them. They were really nice to us. He also bought me a cotton candy. I felt like I was a little girl that day.:P

Winnie and I

Youngmoon and I

As we go inside, we saw this street full of cherry trees. It was just like what we see in korean dramas. ๐Ÿ˜› I felt like I was shooting a drama because I was with my korean friends (the fact that im in Korea). HAHA! ๐Ÿ˜›

The cherry blossoms were very beautiful during the day, but they were more more more beautiful during the night. They opened the lights after the sun has set. The colors of the flowers changed from white, green, blue, pink, purple and red.

There were a lot of people visiting the zoo at night just to see and take pictures with the cherry blossoms. I saw how much Koreans love ๋ฒš๊ฝƒ.:) I saw many couples, friends, families, and singles who were there to celebrate the season. I saw the joy in their faces. People had their cameras with them and took pictures as much as they want.

These flowers were really magical. They bring happiness to a lot of people even for a short period of time. They may come and go quickly but the memories and experiences each person had with them will last for a lifetime.

with my friends (Song-wook and Youngmoon)

I really had so much fun that day. It was a good thing that I was comfortable with their company. They were really funny. HAHA! ๐Ÿ™‚ And they were laughing with my simple jokes which was a good thing. We rode the viking which made me very nervous and made my heart to beat so fast!!! We were really like little kids again.

They were also my official photographers last night.:P ahaha! Without them, I wouldn’t have these photos taken with the cherry trees.

We ended the night with beautiful and lasting memories. We were lost finding our way out from the zoo.:P haha! Youngmoon drove us back to our dorm. I’m really thankful to both of them for taking good care of us. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๊ณ ๋งˆ์›Œ ์นœ๊ตฌ๋“ค :))

makgeolli and chips under the cherry blossom tree :)

Today’s a good weather to bond with your friends and classmates. The winter just ended ushering spring. It’s the season wherein cherry blossoms bloom so beautifully. You can feel the warmth of the sun and the cool breeze of the wind. It’s so nice to take a break on a regular class day. Who would think that we’re going to spend the morning drinking, eating and chatting?

Today, we didn’t have class under Professor Shim. But, we had our picnic together just outside the Peace Hall. It was fun! ๐Ÿ˜€ ์žฌ๋ฏธ์žˆ์—ˆ์–ด!! just drinking, eating and chatting together. Though most of the time they speak in Korean, it’s fine with me. Because, that’s how they can easily understand each other. And I love and enjoy listening to them when they speak. I want to know how they pronounce Korean words.:P It’s a good way to learn to speak Korean.:D :)) I really really want to learn their language so much. ๐Ÿ˜€ Everyday, I’m learning new words from my friends and also I’m learning about more of their culture.:)ImageImage

Happy Easter everyone!

The cross of Christ shows us that God’s love is of deepest descent…
universal distribution and of eternal duration. ๐Ÿ™‚

These are the pretty and cute designed eggs from the church.

After the mass, we passed by this beautiful mugunghwa, the national flower of Korea.:) It’s so beautiful! ๐Ÿ˜€ The flower’s English name is Rose of Sharon, which is also used to identify classes of hotels in Korea.

“In Korean, mugunghwaย means โ€œimmortal flower.โ€ The flowerโ€™s tenaciousness, seen itโ€™s ability to survive even insect attacks, makes it an appropriate symbol for country that has fought throughout history for itโ€™s very existence. Despite wars and occupation, the Korean culture and people have persevered and endure.”

I also tried making a flower. With the help of hyun mi (i’m not sure with spelling of her name) .:D this is the one i made!! ๐Ÿ˜€ It was easy to do but the leaves are quite confusing to fold.

These are the flowers which other people made. I also put mine in here. I really enjoy making crafts.:)))

I also want to be a volunteer ever since. I want to be able to reach out to the people and make them happy. I want to live with purpose.

Visit their siteย ๐Ÿ™‚

We had sports festival in the soccer field near Hope hall.:) ๐Ÿ˜› What I find out was they have this amazing man-made grass. so that was why it was so green even winter just ended.:P REALLY AMAZING! ๐Ÿ˜€

I wish that next time I could participate in the game. ๐Ÿ˜› It was actually pretty much the same. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed watching..:P ๐Ÿ™‚ I also like their ์†œ ์‚ฌํƒ• (cotton candy) . hihi.:))

Congratulations! We won in soccer and relay.:D After the last game, we celebrated at the Hope hall. :)) We had ๋ง‰๊ฑธ๋ฆฌ, pizza, kimchi & chips. Actually, we also ate and drink during the game. But, I didn’t drink much. Just to have a taste of it since it was my first time to try it. I didn’t know it wasย ๋ง‰๊ฑธ๋ฆฌ, I thought it was just a soda.:P ย haha!
