This is a continuation of our random trip in Tagaytay. It’s been a while since I last visited Tagaytay. So we went to these beautiful places where most tourists go.
Once September arrives, the temperature finally starts to drop.:) It’s still hot in the afternoon but it doesn’t feel sticky anymore.:) It’s getting colder. I can walk in the evening without sweating which I think it would be more difficult for me to exercise. Because, it’ll be harder to produce sweat. Haha. 😛 It’s the start of “ber” months…..mabilis ang panahon…… I don’t want to think that I have less than 4 months to stay here in Korea.
This is my favorite coffee shop here in Korea 🙂 The ambiance in this shop is really different compared to the other coffee shops. I can stay here for hours if I want to. If this shop is only nearer that I won’t have to take a bus to go here, I would probably be here often. :))
거기에서 우리 오빠는 아르바이트가 있어요. 오빠와 호텔경영학을 공부해요. 그래서 그 커피숍은 알고 있어. ^^ Since my friend is working here, we know how to get here. It’s quite difficult to see this shop in Gaeksa (downtown) because it’s not located in the main streets. From Zara, you have to go straight that will lead you to Holly’s coffee, rice story, church and then at the edge of the street, this coffee shop is located.
this is the name of the shop “nap-jak-han-slipper”
Actually, the first time I came here was during the Jeonju International Film Festival. I came with my friends from Hotel Dept. Because, a lot of our classmates in Hotel management volunteered in this shop. So during that time, a lot of visitors of JIFF were here because it has partnership with JIFF 😉 After a month, we visited this place again and then I started to love this place. ❤ Here’s a link to my previous blog about JIFF 🙂
Whenever we order any coffee, our friend gives us “service” . That’s how koreans call it when they give out freebies. 🙂 So, he always gives us free brownies, macaroons, bread, chocolates and cupcake. 🙂
What I also love here is I can use their iPad. ;p The customers can actually read books and they have two iPads with WiFi of course. It’s very comfortable to stay here. Just like Starbucks — as “third place”. I think I found my fourth place in here. haha! 😛 Though I don’t usually drink coffee, (i don’t drink soda as well), I love to drink water at all times, I just want to spend time here that’s why I go here. And I also love their coffee and how it was prepared. I actually would love to work here if I’m allowed to have part-time job.
So this is why I recommend this place to my friends. I bring them here with me and they would also love the ambiance and the service in this place. Our friend is also happy because we frequently visit his place.
Happy 1 month to us Winnie bhie! 😀 =))) one month has passed and we’ve created already a lot of memories. I’m so thankful that we are together in this journey. I couldn’t ask for anything more. God has been so generous for giving me you as my friend and for even giving me more new friends (아빠, 언니 & 오빠, 할아버지, 삼촌). 고맙습니다. 반갑습니다.:))
we are so blessed to have them who are so kind and friendly. Even we’re in a foreign country, through the people we’ve met, our friends and professors, we became familiar and comfortable. We are learning a lot of things from them which will broaden our perspective. ♥
Especially, I want to say “Thank you so much” 감사합니다 to the people we’ve met and helped us! 😀 Especially, to our lovely korean friends who have been so kind and accommodating from the start. You give me inspiration and happiness. 🙂 *.*

안녕하세요! 😀 어떻게 지내세요?
I’m living here in Jeonju for almost 3 weeks now. How fast it is!!! 😀 i really am enjoying my stay here. There are lots of new things I’m learning everyday from my korean friends.:) I’m learning to speak Korean slowly. I know it will take time for me to be able to speak the language well. But, I’m sooo willing to learn. I’m really studying hard. 😛
I don’t know why, but the atmosphere here is making me study even more. Koreans are very hardworking. They study very well. They prepare everyday before each class. So, it is really inspiring to see them how much they want to learn. Because a lot of times, I get tired and lazy to study. Sometimes, I neglect the importance of education. Now, I also enjoy studying because of them. This is the only time where I have to study and prepare in advance for a class because I want to be able to help them and share them what I know and understand. It’s all about sharing knowledge with each other. It’s a different feeling to study for others. 😀 They might think they are the ones learning from me but it’s the other way around. I am learning so much from them. I will never really forget this experience. I’m taking this opportunity to develop my confidence, especially in speaking in front, since there are lots of reports in our class. So, this experience is really helping me. 😀 I’m so blessed and I’m forever thankful to my friends and professors here in Jeonju University. 😀 =))
This was taken about two months ago, during my friend’s debut in Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Manila. 🙂
I can play piano a little but I can’t read notes that fast. ;P
We arrived early to prepare for the function. We even had a class before it. So, we started preparing at 10am, right after our first class. This was the entrance to NIML, where we held Pista sa Dapit-Hapon. The function is part of our requirements in HRIM 104. The class is divided into groups and is given different regions in Philippines. My group got Northern Luzon. Our group focused on festivals as our theme. Since I was the DR Manager, I was in charge of the dining area, including its design and the staff.
This was the transformed dining area of NIML. Since our theme was festival, (Panagbenga, Sinukwan, Mango festivals) we tried to show each through the props we’ve purposely made for this event. There were lots of people who came and supported our function. We were very thankful to the students, professors, family and friends who enjoyed the dining experience with us.
I was especially proud of my first artwork.:) It was the painting on the left side, the painting of the flower. My reference there was the painting I saw from mydeco.com. I was inspired to make the bathroom really beautiful and elegant. It was my first painting and I thought of it as my gift for myself as I finished painting it during my birthday (Aug 19).
I was really thankful for my group mates because we really worked hard to make your dining experience wonderful. This is something I will always remember for the experiences I had before, during and after the function.
Sorry for the blurred picture but this is the only picture we had during that day.
I’ve learned a lot because of this.
As for a group to function well, each has to cooperate, communicate and coordinate with each other.
And because we experienced the hardships together, our friendship got stronger.
